According to the latest update which was done between may and september 2009and covered the 3 major regions in south lebanon: saida, tyre and nabatiyeh,there are 16335 active business entities distributed as follows:
- 7764 in saida and surrounding area
- 2789 in nabatiyeh and surrounding area
- 3692 in tyre and surrounding area
- 2090 in the road connecting saida to anasar through nabatiyeh
Moreover the number of building in the above areas was 18722 distributed as follows:
- 6909 in saida and surrounding area
- 5517 in nabatiyeh and surrounding area
- 4911 in tyre and surrounding area
- 1388 in the road connecting saida to anasar through nabatiyeh
All the above information can help generate statistics and analysis about a certain region whether according to the distribution of a certain trade or activity or the existance of sme's. Here are some of the statistics that can be generated:
Analysis of Saida Region in 2007:
- the number of active entities was: 7100
- the number of entities that closed from 2004: 602
- the number of new businesses that opened between 2004 till 2007: 2600
- the number of new building since 2004 till 2007: 38
