About AFDL
The Agro-Food Development Center & Labs (AFDL) was established in 2007 with the support of United State Agency for International Development (USAID). The Center and laboratories serve the food and agriculture industry located South of Lebanon.
By the end of year 2012, the space for the labs was expanded and equipped with new equipment by the support of Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture of Saida and ACDI VOCA- QCC program.
Since then, AFDL laboratories offer microbiological, physico-chemical, Quality Control and sensory testing for food & water, according to LIBNOR, FDA, EU, SASO, and Codex standards. The laboratory is accredited in accordance with International Organization for standardization ISO/IEC 17025.
