A meeting was held at the Chamber of Saida and the South between the Hariri Foundation and "Berytech" with the aim of cooperating to support and empower entrepreneurs in the south. During the meeting, participants discussed the current state of entrepreneurship and the challenges caused by the war, emphasizing the role of the private sector and incubators in creating job opportunities that help southern residents remain in their land and stimulate the economy. The President of the Chamber, Mr. Mohammad Saleh, affirmed the Chamber’s readiness to cooperate, noting that this phase requires preparation for future opportunities. Mrs. Bahia Hariri stressed the importance of supporting youth and developing their skills, as academic degrees alone are no longer enough. Meanwhile, the representative of "Berytech" pointed out three cooperation opportunities: business incubation, benefiting from Berytech’s programs, and helping the private sector market southern Lebanese products. In conclusion, the parties agreed to follow up on this cooperation with practical next steps.

The Chamber of Commerce in Sidon and the South urges the authorities to immediately inspect the waste treatment plant in Siniq after numerous complaints from economic sectors. Reports indicate that the plant is not complying with its contractual obligations, causing serious environmental and health risks and constant unpleasant odors.

Saint Joseph University of Beirut and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Sidon and the South signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic and entrepreneurial cooperation. The agreement aims to support higher education and foster innovation among youth in South Lebanon through training and job opportunities for students. It also includes the establishment of an “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Academy,” and the launch of joint annual programs and awards in entrepreneurship and innovation.
